Clairikine was born and raised in France on a US passport and has been reflecting ever since on where home is and what feelings mean. Self-published works include Master of Survival, an autobio comic about moving to Berlin in 2010 as a grad student, and nearly 15 years’ worth of short comics about what happens after you decide to stay. When not working on comics, there’s a strong chance you’ll find them wandering somewhere in the woods, listening to music, a podcast, and/or hastily writing down new project notes. Other sources of inspiration include good television, good company, long train rides, and the smell of petrichor.

Manuel Hernández Ruiz is a Colombian visual artist whose work ranges from painting, drawing, sculpture and installations, to books, publications, prints and graphic art in general. His work focuses on questions about identity, arcane and contemporary symbolism, Latin Americanness in the midst of globalization, storytelling, and existential absurdity. He holds a Bachelor from the School of Fine Arts at the University of Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Colombia. Between 2023 and 2025 he made the official image of the Latin American music festival Cordillera. He has shown his work in art fairs and exhibitions in Portugal, Spain, Greece, Colombia, South Africa, France, among others. Since 2019, Manuel has resided in Athens. Salvatore Giommarresi is stripauteur en illustrator. Hij is voormalig lid en redacteur van het collectief Lök Zine (een tijdschrift over illustratie en strips).
Zijn werk put inspiratie uit allerlei verschillende bronnen, en met name uit wat hij zelf meemaakt tijdens zijn reizen over de hele wereld. Hij experimenteert graag met nieuwe manieren om traditionele technieken, zoals origami, toe te passen in zijn kunst.
Hij is vooral geïnteresseerd in het verkennen van de mogelijkheden van strips in het onderwijs. Momenteel organiseert hij workshops en werkt hij samen met scholen, instellingen en ngo’s op internationaal niveau.
Zijn werken zijn tentoongesteld in Italië, Spanje, Mozambique, Frankrijk, Vietnam, de VS en Albanië.

Yvan Guillo (Samplerman)
Yvan Guillo, alias Yvang (1971) is een Franse cartoonist. Hij begon met de publicatie van strips in tal van fanzines in de vroege jaren negentig. Vooralsnog accepteert hij alleen uitnodigingen om deel te nemen aan kleinschalig publicerende, collectieve projecten. Zijn gekopieerde fanzine “Crachoir” (1992-2010), met zijn eigen strips en grafische verkenningen plus werken van zijn vrienden, was zijn belangrijkste expressievorm vóór zijn late ontdekking van de Apple Macintosh en het internet rond het jaar 2000.
Het web werd zijn favoriete manier van publiceren en experimenteren voor zijn strips, die hij voor iedereen beschikbaar stelde zodra ze klaar waren. In deze periode perfectioneerde hij zijn inkleuringsvaardigheden in Adobe Photoshop op een manier die jaren later erg nuttig zou worden. Destijds resulteerde de steeds betere toegang tot internet in toenemende beschikbaarheid van hoogwaardige scans van oude Amerikaanse strips, die voorheen niet gemakkelijk beschikbaar waren in Europa.
In een meer klassieke stijl, parallel aan zijn experimentele werk, publiceerde hij enkele kinderstrips, sommige zelf-gepubliceerd en sommige bij de nu ter ziele gegane “Éditions Le Moule à Gaufres”. Ook werkte hij als freelance grafisch ontwerper. Rond 2009 begon hij een gedeeld Tumblr-blog met zijn vriend Franse cartoonist Léo Quievreux: “zundd”, la zone de non-droit (de no-go-zone) om experimenten, nevenprojecten en vaak onafgemaakte werken te plaatsen.
De digitale collages van klassieke Amerikaanse strips met het label “Samplerman” begonnen daar, en de warme feedback van veel volgers, en continue commissies voor illustraties, albumcovers, enzovoort, uit vele landen motiveerden hem om door te gaan. De Tumblr-blog Samplerman nam het in 2015 over, gevolgd door zijn Instagram-account. Samplerman werd in januari 2019 tijdens het Angoulème festival bekroond met de Prix de l’EESI. Momenteel werkt hij aan verschillende komende tentoonstellingen, boeken en ministrips. Hij woont en werkt in Bretagne, Frankrijk.

Als kind werd Sebastian omringd door twee overgrootmoeders, twee grootvaders, drie grootmoeders en talloze ooms en tantes van zijn Javaans-Surinaamse kant van de familie. Door verschillende materialen en media samen te brengen, verweeft Sebastian fragmenten van een verscheurde geschiedenis, die wordt gekenmerkt door een machtsongelijkheid. De camera fungeert als een verkenningsinstrument, op zoek naar nostalgische gevoelens zoals ‘Gotong Royong’.
Samenwerking staat centraal in zijn werkpraktijk. Wanneer hij foto’s maakt, probeert hij de mensen op de foto’s zoveel mogelijk bij zijn onderzoek te betrekken. Samen met zijn broer Tyler doet hij onderzoek naar zijn familiegeschiedenis, die hij sinds 2025 ook in de vorm van theater op het podium presenteert.
Zijn fotografische werk is tentoongesteld op diverse festivals en in musea, waaronder het Fotomuseum Den Haag, het Stedelijk Museum, het BredaPhoto Festival en de Recontres Photographiques de Guyane.
In mei 2026 bezocht hij voor het eerst Java, de plek waar zijn overgrootouders zijn vertrokken als contractarbeiders in 1928 & 1929. Hier ontmoette hij Inprogress Initiatives in Yogyakarta waarmee hij samen de zine Atas Tanah produceerde.

While her digital illustrations begin with clean lines, Ronyut-Henry deliberately utilises tactile mediums to introduce an organic, human touch to her art. Her work encompasses multi-layered Risograph printing, embracing the process’s characteristic textures and subtle misalignments, as well as three-dimensional mediums, including one-of-a-kind hand-built ceramic magnets and clay characters. Through these unpredictable and physical processes, she transforms everyday moments into characters defined by depth, warmth, and individual charm.
