Marco Quadri is een van de veelzijdigste Italiaanse makers van dit moment. Bij Cross Comix is een expositie te zien rondom zijn boek Bottleneck. Bij de Franse editie daarvan schreef zijn uitgever:
Bottleneck is an expression which defines both a difficult passage and the stage of a hindered process. This word is the starting point of this hushed choral story, peppered with road movies, atmospheric thrillers and more everyday anecdotes. Stretching over a day and a night, the wait for a great event whose nature we cannot detect begins and a kind of indescribable tension builds. Each strange character traces his path through chance encounters and interactions leading us inevitably towards the bottleneck whose vanishing point we cannot discern. However, it clearly emerges before our eyes, elegantly colored and surprisingly cut, fragile and mysterious.
Marco Quadri is an Italian comic book artist and illustrator, his last book ‘Bottleneck’ is out for ‘Les Requins Marteaux’ (FR) and ‘Edizioni BD’ (IT). In 2020 he started printing zines with a publishing collective and risograph studio under the name of enter press. In 2023 he co-founded Titivil, an artist-run exhibition space, bookshop and workshop in Bologna, Italy.
